Default The Astra got its first treatment! Boy did it need it!!!

We've had the wifes Astra H now for about 4 months and its only had once wash in that time (from a drive thru "Euro" hand car wash) and the red was very badly in need of treatment as it had faded and in some places it had actually started to go pinky white - YUCK !!

I know, I should get a for letting it get to that stage, so firstly this weekend I needed to change the drop links (as it was making a terrible wobbling sound on uneven roads-now sorted) and gave the inner arch's a pre-rinse to get rid of the muck in preperation for a "full body wash" - LOL.

Then on Sunday, I spent about 4+ hours on it.

Normal wash, then clayed the whole car, then used some colour restorer and then some AG gloss finish along with tidying up all the black plastics which had also started to look a little persished and then full glass clean up - and I am very very impressed with the results!.....but boy am I knackered!!

Here are the results (pics are a little poor but comments welcome):

To top things off, even the wife was impressed - normally I dont get a comment about the effort on cars! So all round result !

Dan, its ridiculous how bad it was.

The roof was soo bad, after the wash it looked like it had been wet-n-dry sanded.

HAD TO BE DONE! Red is notorious. But im chuffed with the results.

I am going to give it a once over again in a few weeks, but just a spit and polish at that time.

As its the wifes motor, I chose to leave it standard. If it were mine..............it wouldnt be a Breeze model now!! In fact, if it were me, I wouldnt have bought that particular model.

Come up very well. Red looks terrible when it's left, but can be brought back up.
Friend of ours has a T reg Mazda, red. Bet it matched yours for state at start. I got fed up seeing it like it, so I took my gear over one day and gave it a make over while the women were yakking. People kept asking her if she'd got a new car, lol - then, if she'd lean on me to do theirs.......
