    Engine : 2.0CDTi

    Default 74MPG... Not bad!

I drive to MK on a monthly basis and with that one of the reasons I sold my mapped 2.0T for a 1.9CDTi 150.

When I first got her I was doing about 50-55mpg, which compared to the 2.0T at 38MPG was awesome. Replaced the inlet and blanked the EGR and did another few runs, managing 61MPG not bad seeing as the extra urban figure for the vec is 58.9MPG!

Anyhow remapped to stage 1 now doing 196BHP and 320FT/LB, and tried the run a few times again managing 68.9MPG.

This time with the weather being nice, I dropped it down to 56MPH and did the 200mile trek one way with a full tank.

    Managed between 72MPG and 74.3MPG!

Not sure what the highest ever seen on this site is but im sure this could be up there...

Range of 1002miles and already used 110miles of fuel before it reached it's peak!

Now back home and clocked up nearly 400miles and still have 600 left in the tank and only used just over a 1/4

Did you rest the trip counter too as the fuel computers tend to mis read after remaping due to the changed parameters in the ecu.

Mine indicates an average 56mpg but the actual calculated figure is much lower at 45mpg .... in my case the BC lies.

I feel the fuel meter is way more inaccurate! I did near enough 200 miles before it even moved from full! lol.

    370miles and 5.2 gallons used, 71.1mpg?

5.2 gallons according to the computer or you filled it back up?

I also have a mapped 1.9CDTi and the computer is WAY out now.

I use an app on my iphone called fuelly, enter in mileage and litres used and it calculates it all for me

I've got a spreadsheet for that - I know I've done 142,000 miles since I bought my first car and spent 15 grand on fuel...

About the time red diesel was almost entertainingly cheap for boats at 14.9p/l on the shroppie. Happy days. Now 80p/l to run a boiler... Grrrr!
