150 cdti timing belt again

my car is now 5 years old and just about to hit 60k so going to the timing belt and waterpump done.

just called local stealers and they are quoting £500 to do the job, £220 of which is parts. does that sound about right to do this?

is there a kit i can buy and use my normal mechanic for the job? i see gates mentioned a lot but looking for advice before shelling out on this

Euro car parts for the kit & a couple of hours labour

just looked on euro car parts

140 for cam belt kit, 40 for water pump, 15 for drive belt

dont think there is anything else to change

there is a How-2 on here if you are feeling brave. I did mine for the first time ever a month or so back using it.

try www.vauxhallworldparts.com last year the kit was £85--£90
