Fitting replacement engine tech2 ecu programming??

Hi All, The stage i'm at with my blown turbo is whether just to throw another engine in my cdti120 i can source one around the same price as what it's gonna cost me to replace the turbo with 60000 less miles on the clock, My question is will the replacement engine need programming to the car and and will i need the ecu off the donor car too. Definately gonna need an engine just checked the throttle body and there were bits of metal in it and the pipe leading to it from the intercooler has all tiny bits of metal in it, also found a couple that were a few mm big right near throttle body entrance which aint good.. Can't believe this thought diesels were the way to go, Anyone a rough idea how much mechanics are charging nowadays to remove and fit an engine that i supply. with all the service/parts history i have with car and this it totals to a massive amount for a 6 1/2 year old car, i'm putting my mondeo mk3 back on the road i've owned that since brand new it's never had anything wrong with it apart from needing a cat in 8 years apart fromobvious service parts
