Very lumpy idle and almost stall

Drove to B&Q, car was fine.

When i restarted the car to go home i was texting my mate before i drove off and noticed that the car was idling very lumpy. Very very lumpy.

The needle on the rev counter was clearly dipping and rising. The the car came close to stalling and then revs spiked then settled then same again a few seconds later.

I turned engine off, waited a few seconds, then restarted and same problem, so i drove off and home, every thing seemed normal, didnt strecth her legs just incase, when i got home, ideling was normal again, no almost stalling, but still lumpy.

I'm no mechanic, can some one please tell me what this could be?

Mine is going in tomorrow for the same thing, it is undrivable at the moment.

Throttle body probably just needs a good clean. Hope its nothing major.

I had just replaced two vacuum pipe connectors which had split, got the replacements from a scrappy and I am wondering if some oil or other crap got dragged into the system?

i had the same probs many months ago, starting off mildly, then like a bucking bronko.

had the Tb cleaned , didn't fix it, had the swirl chamber motor etc changed, no real fix, then finally had the fuel pump replaced at a BIG BIG cost... FIXED!!

Mine runs great for a few seconds then feels like it's stalling then back to normal a few times and very very regular almost like its timed.
Just started within a few minutes of fixing my limp home/vacuum hose problem, very weird...

EGR need a clean??

Discnnect the crank shaft sensor and see if the fault ramins, if it clears you need a new sensor.
