    Default Clutch Release Spring

Gradually over the last few months I've noticed a loud creaking coming from my clutch pedal, also a very odd feeling as if the biting point kept changing, when you released the pedal to get the biting point it would feel as if it got stuck at a certain point and then it would release.

So from havng a quick look on here I decided I would change the clutch return spring and see if it made any difference.

Fitted it last night and WOW what a difference, it feels like a new car. I had started to think that maybe it was just me and my driving style lol.

I had to break the original spring off as the plastic shaft inside the spring was jammed and it wouldn't compress properly and also the spring its self had stretched at one end so no wonder I was having problems.

I would recommend this to anyone who's having the same sort of problem. Part No for spring is 93183937 and was about £7 + vat with trade club.

Pics of the old spring and then the new one as below.

    Cheers

    H

The hardest bit on mine was getting the original one out, I had to snap the inner shaft as it was stuck. Fitting the new one was a easy.

Dont all Vec's/Siggy's have these fitted then?
