    Default Is My Engine Overheating?

Following on from my thread about 1.8 VVT temperature, I've been looking at the secret / hidden menu to see the actual value instead of the temperature guage.

What concerns me, is that the menu corresponds with the guage up to about 90*c but then the menu carries on climbing. When driving at 50mph for a few minutes it settles at around 95*c but then rises to 107*c when stopped for a few minutes.

The guage itself never goes over 93*c when stopped.

    What's going on?

That's never right. mine's a 1.9 diesel, but it's never gone over 90 degrees on the guage, usually steady on 85 no matter what I do.

If I hadn't looked at the secret menu thing then I would be ok with the guage reading but cos I've seen it so near 100*c when driving normally.....
