    Default Lowered 30mm

So i am getting conflicting advice

My car has been lowered 30mm on standard SRI shocks, now do i need to go and get a wheel alignment done

The post below suggests i should but i have been told i dont need to, the car is a Sri

    http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showpo...5&postcount=10

Should i wait till i have changed my upper control arms, ARB bushes , track rod ends and drop links before doing it

I've all ways been told that when you change springs/shocks that you should get the car re aligned afterwards. And I would personally prefer to pay £40 to have that done than £400 for new tyres when they all end need replacing at the same time due to odd tyre wear.

Or leave them to their own devices

I suppose it depends if you trust them or not? As they will probably set it to manufacturers standard which if you think about it will probably be wrong as the car has been lowered by a further 15mm. I'd say take it and see what they say. I was lucky as the garage I take my car too are pretty clued up and also have there own race cars so understand that the adjustments have to be made to include the lowering of the car.

I always suffered abnormal tyre wear on my sri, until I changed shocks, springs, rear arms, front links, and rear bushes. I had the tracking adjusted and all is now fine. The car is now 15mm lower. The tyre wear was being caused by worn suspension. Can't see what you can adjust/set, if you lower the car , it is then non-standard. PS, I still think the b4s are too soft for an sri.

Thats because they arent designed for the SRI. They are a replacement for teh standard shock. The B6 is the SRI replacement (or B8 if you want even better handling)

I'm no expert, but don't you need full four wheel alignment after new springs and shocks, rather than the £35ish front alignment that all tyre places do? If so, that's about £60-85, not £35-40.
