    Default sensor near windscreen....anyone?

    Noticed this the other day,what is the small half ball thing in the middle of the winscreen vents on the dashboard for? (near bottor of the screen on the inside)

    sunlight sensor?

    I believe it is termed the 'Sun Sensor'. As kenp said it is a part of the Electronic Climate Control system.

    Nope, that's at the top of the windscreen where the auto wiper sensor also is.

    The light sensor for auto lights is def on top of the screen in the middle of the auto wiper gel pad. That little bobble on the dash is a mystery to me, but would like to know as I am an inquisitive type of guy

    the vec b had this when it had climate control, i assume the same is true for the vec c?

    sunlight sensor would make sense,as the auto lights has the sensor in the same place as the auto wipers at the top of the screen (other side of the rear view mirror),the brochure does state that in the design the climate control take temp reading and also takes into account direct sunilight heating the car accordingly
