    Default Trade Club Prices

    Hi,

Received my membership pack today with my new trade club card, which I wanted to put into full use straight away! Went to local Hartwells and asked them to price me up some service parts. I was told:

    Oil Filter 93178952 £3.51 (£3.33)
    Air Filter 93192842 £8.60 (£8.17)
    Fuel Filter 25313359 £9.55 (£9.07)
    Spark Plugs 9195868 £4.47 (£4.25)
    Oil [5w30] 93165557 £43.45 (£41.28)

    All in £78.84 + vat = £94.61

Does this seem correct? The trade club prices do not appear to give much of a discount on these particular parts especially since I thought the oil should be £20 + vat on trade? Guy at the counter told me that the price of the oil has increased since the new oil was brought in this year. I'll probs purchase off Autovaux instead if these prices seem correct and he hasn't made a mistake.

    Cheers

I get better discount from my local dealer even though they arent part of trade club. Id be expecting more than that although they are all low cost items (with the exception of the oil)

You can get 10L of oil on eBay delivered for about the same as 5L you're paying.

Trade Club prices are not as amazing as they used to be. But those prices are just stupid!

This place is OK if they have what you need http://www.vauxhall-car-parts.co.uk/

Just checking the fuel filter price, is less than half what the gits have quoted you.

    Cheers everyone for your replies!
Well the same list on Autovaux came to £62...INCLUDING £9 delivery! Hence my utter confusion. I was expecting £50-£60 for the lot hence my post here. Can't see what he could of got confused on though? I thought something was up when I heard the oil price, especially since he only gave a £2 discount from retail! Oh btw, just incase anyone reading is confused, the prices in the brackets are the trade club prices. All of the prices above are excl. vat.

If at all possible could someone with access please check if these prices are correct? I don't know if he accidently gave me Trade discount and not Trade Club? Think there's a difference between the two. Would prefer to go back with a price list from the recent Trade Book or online (but obviously dont have access!) rather than purchase online.

I bought a set of service items, oil, oil, air, pollen and fuel filters, sump washer, came to less than £40 with trade club. I remember him saying the oil was the latest one out, and it was £18 on some sort of offer as well, but no way should it be that much.

You've been done mate. I haven't got time at this mo to check all the prices, but the part number you've quoted for the oil should be £18.82+VAT, and that's from the TC website. The spark plug should be 5.55+VAT
