    Default Boost problem Z20net

Done the seraches on here for possible issues causing this.. found nothing i already know of

Basically its like driving a car without a turbo at times!? Boost up to 5psi.. if im lucky sometimes 10psi.. when she was running good i get about 16psi

No fault light has come up when the car is runing poo.. but seems to be running naff all the time now

I have replaced both the small boost sensors about a year ago.. on top of the actuator and the one at the front of the engine... could these go belly up again? Are they man enough to be running with BSR stage 3 or will this not make any difference?

Im running a derivative of stage 3 bsr and i go through boost sensors like they were made from butter, every 4-6k miles. the further i get away from bsr map the better it gets. do make sure you get the sensors the right way round. ie the right part no. in the right place.

I swapped the sensors one at a time to make sure i didnt mix em up.. i know what im like lol

It is ok to start with on a new journey after ignition off, then plays up again after that

Might go get a new pair of sensors then as its about that kind amilage i have covered.. thanks

also the integrated recirc dump valve diaphragm/spring may be weakened or split ... there is a repair kit from VX which is about £100

part no 55558271 this was the primary cause of mine when we initially though it was the recirc valves
once replaced i didn't loose boost or drop into lhm during overtakes

mine had hairline splits on the edges allowing air to escape at the most inopportune moments

0-Large smile ......every time it's driven

I can still hear 'dumping' from the engine.. would it still do this if what you said was split in anyway?

yep ... it would just be dumping the boost early before optimum pressure is reached

Dez, was your problem intermittent or did it happen every time?
