    Default Servicing

    Hi,

I'm hoping this is correct section. My apologies if it isn't

I am considering servicing my 1.9cdti 150 myself and was wondering what would be required.

I have done other cars before but never a diesel and any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Oil
    Oil filter
    Air filter
    Fuel filter

They are the basics for a service on a diesel.

What's the age / mileage of the car?

If you service the car yourself, whilst under warranty, any work will not be recognised by VX (in the event of a claim)
You need to use at least a VAT registered garage and keep the receipt until the warranty expires

Therefore you can buy OE parts and give them to a local garage or get a quote for OE service
Prices are quite keen on their servicing, my local garage can't get anywhere close

If using VX then do not authorise any repairs, except any that may be considered for warranty
    Such as brakes, tyres, etc
You can get them done cheaper elsewhere (example, brake pads and discs from parts department, then fitted by a local garage)
