Yeh the pc is short for porter cable and american brand of random orbital polisher.

I wish I had taken some before pics, it was minging...!

In total it probably took about 4 hours, which isnt too bad for the results i achieved.

The astra looks stunning... I was looking at maybe getting a Porter Cable but opted for the meguiars one as I couldn't find the PC at a price I liked.

Oh! and it was similar to the Astra:

    Wash
    Virosol on Wheels
    Clay
    SSR 2.5
    EX-P
    P21S
    Wheel Wax
    Endurance Tyre Gel

When I was looking at swirl removers I got kind of confused over which one to have - any ideas? Ive only got swirls on bonnet and roof and they are quite light.

Also my colour is oyster silver so will P21S bring out the gloss or would someone recomend a different wax?

    cheers

If your swirls are only light, a "cleaner wax" like Zymol or Meguiars might be better for it than a pure polish... I use Zymol cleaner wax with a topcoat of Meguiars Gold Class Wax.... has brilliant results on lighter swirl marks.

Ignore the above post my finger slipped, but in reply to Richs queries on swirl removers I use Einszett Paint Polish and Einszett Metallic Polish for swirl removal and find they are easy to apply and remove and leave the paint looking really glossy and feeling silky. The paint polish is the more abasive of the two. My current car prep every 6 months is,

    Wash Sonex gloss shampoo
    Clay
    Einszett PP
    Einszett MP
    P21s Gloss Enhancing polish
    Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection
    Megiuars #16 wax

With regards to P21s wax and whether it would bring out the gloss I find that meg #16 has a clearer more reflective look to it than P21S,whereas P21s gives the car a nice warm glow with a wetter look, it depends what look you like although P21S is so easy to apply
