passenger glass fell off

hi all i wondered if you could help me!! whilst cleaning the passenger door mirror the glass just fell off??? it hasnt broke and looks like it was only glued on at the top any idea what i can use to stick it back on and where do i stick it as i dont want to lose the heated function because ive stuck it down wrong

It fell off mine too. I caught it before it hit the ground.
I used some clear silicon sealent to "glue" it back on. So far it has been ok, that was several months back when it fell off.
The heated function still works on mine as well.

cheers lads totally forgot about silicone!! do i just put a couple of blobs either side?

I carefully removed the backing plate then squirted quite a bit onto the backing plate then put the glass back in place and put a "weight" on it for a while till it had set. The carefullu put the glass/backing plate back into the mirror housing.

how does the backing plate come out ed?

I used about three double sided sticky pads and its been fine.

There is some stuff my step dad gets in the trade called "Sticks like S**T" My drivers side one is stuck on with it
