Default New Pics after the argument with Car wash

Well its taken me long enough but finally I've had the work done to the car and so pleased with the results, again.

    Remember this thread?:

    http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=135100

Well new pics are below which i have just been and taken earlier on.

The damage was quoted £340 if i needed a whole new wing through Nationwide as my usual company, http://www.taketheweekendoff.com/cosmetic.htm (yes i've had work done before said they wouldn't touch it) too big a job for them.

Well i managed to pick up a Star Silver wing of ebay for £48.99 delivered, funnily enough the exact one that is featured on the link in the above thread and the work through Shine was £155. I've used them twice now and definately recommended even if they ain't the cheapest. Now all i need to do is get my wheels refurbed but that's proving to a nightmare in itself working out how to do it.

    Enjoy

Number plates are my personal favourite

They look even better further away and at night these little red dots in the middle of nowhere..... with the single LED strip. Really well worth the investment and take like minutes to fit.

Its relatively straight forward actually although i did come across a couple of snags.

Firslty, although most of the divets are plastic there is a metal one which connects the front wing to upper part of bumper which cant be removed. This was unexpected to say the least so like any frustrated bloke at that time i ripped if off. Naughty i know but there we go lol.

Also there is a flange on the bottom of the wing that sits behind the side skirt. This is held on by 2 ruddy great big bolts like the ones that run along the top of the wing. You'll have to pull away the rubber strip that runs alongside the lower part of the door to gain access to the divets this hides. Also there are some more under the side skirt that go up into the floor so you'll to jack it up high enough to gain access. First 2/3 divets along the side and underneath should allow you enough access to pull the skirt away slightly to remove the bolts and screw them back in place.

Other than that piece of cake and believe me. I am no mechanic seeing on some previous posts i was having a fit thinking how hard it was gonna be to remove the bumper.
