    Default SRI Springs

    Hi All
Just had car in for MOT yesterday and failed on Fractured front spring, got both changed, Had a look at car this morning and seems so be sitting very high at least a inch or so higher than before, know they might not be settled in yet but could there be a possibility that they have fitted the wrong springs as i think a read in a post before that SRI springs are 15mm shorter than other type Vectras.
Any info would be great before i go back to garage to find out what was put in..

Most likely they need to just settle, although if i were you i would ring them & ask exactly what did they fit

    Vehicle : Vectra

    Trim : SRI XP1

remember with a fracture you're old springs wouldve sat slightly lower. Also with wear etc. The new ones will be slightly higher, but will also take a few days to settle as said above

Every time I read a post saying the new springs seem to make the car sit too high, (and I've read a lot of them), it's always an SRi. The SRi springs are indeed 15mm shorter than standard ones, and there's a good chance you've got the taller ones fitted by mistake.

    Have you got a pic?
VX say there colour coded, but after market ones aren't
I found that if there not VX, they probably aren't right. Must be for the correct weight of engine and year, chassis no etc. This does not seem to matter with after market?

Had exactly the same thing on mine, garage replaced one spring, it sat odd and then realised they had indeed put in the wrong spring, it had to be changed for an SRi spring
