Unhappy P0400-F8 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Feedback Signal Malfunction

    Afternoon everyone.
Just looking for qick response here as this is my own fault.

I has my inlet manifold off today for a full de-coke and I could not get the EGR off. I tried everything including a 20 min drive to warm it up. I gave up after 30 minutes when I snapped off the upper right mount of the EGR.

I did clean the manifold and its really clean. Obviously the EGR is now kinda dead. I get P0400-F8 as the title. Is this the valve that's gone or something else? I've read ages ago but can't think where that the P0400 code could be a manifold sesnor not picking up the difference in pressure.

I've ordered a new EGR £320 best I could find and that hurt. Should I just replace and hope or maybe another sensor and I've wasted over £300?

This thread says I can cut my sensor wire. I think this is a bad idea.

    Thank you.

Is my EGR totaly gone or salvagable?

    Cheers

If it is the water coolant hose that has broken then probably yes it is not salvageable , If you can post a pic of the broken part would help to clarify the situation

Here we are. Taken today, note top pipe missing and right lug snapped off. Error seems to point to feedback problem though???
