    Exclamation Low Power, Wont Go Above 3000 Revs

    Vectra 1.9cdti 120 - 07 Plate

    Eml light has come on again so used a code reader and got p1125 which associates with throttle body so i stripped it down gave it a good clean and reassembled it but still no diffference.
    im not convinced this is the problem so if i give the symptons maybe someone can identify the issue.
    9 times out of 10 drives fine no problems whatsoever but occassionally driving along and feels like there is little power or more like there is no turbo, when its floored it wont go above 3000 revs ?
    Like i say its only occassional but very annoying, Any idea's ??
    Also just to point out that the eml light comes and goes and is not always on.

    just to add to the above that the egr has been replaced with a new one so i don't think this problem is linked at all.

    Been Browsing The Forum And Found The Fault Code P1125 As Throttle Position Sensor Intermitant, So this im guessing is not the throttle body ?
    If this is a sensor does anybody know exactly where it is and if it can be fixed or just need replacing.

    Its a diesel, they dont generally go over 3,000rpm

    found out its the throttle body electrical component has dry joints inside aswel as a load of oil !
    Ordered a new one today, if anyone has any idea how oil got inside i would be very grateful to know ??

    Blown Gasket In The Centre Pipe Allows Smog To Enter Lower Throttle Body Electrical Housing Which Then Builds Up And Knackers It And Then Looks LIke Its Full Of Oil, You Can Normally Drain It All Out And Give It A Good Clean And Check All Solder Pins Are Not Cracked If They Are Re Solder Them And It Should Work Fine.
