    As above, Field Remedy 1957
Also, don't refer to parts by abbreviations, always ask for their actual real name part, in this case Suction Control Valve

    Merge with http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showpo...8&postcount=13

    Part Number :
    98086740

If the VX dealership hasn't never done this they would probably have had difficulty diagnosing the issue
Mine had to call out the Area Technician and he diagnosed it on the second visit

Equally, phone other dealerships in the area, see if any of them have completed this before

    edit :
Field Remedy 1957 text (diagrams missing)

Yeh I thought 6 hours was ok,

I may be mad but I am having scv's changed without a full diagnostic,
The warranty company and dealer are gonna pay out but won't cover vauxhalls
Fee to diagnose problem, so going off advice from site and error codes

They won't get an error code, this requries mechanical diagnosis
As mentioned before, dealerships rely too heavily on electronic diagnosis on engine faults, even basic ones

Not surprising when the basic charge for connecting up is £90 + VAT! (what I got quoted today when I told them about my ABS problems)
