Default Signum headlight washer jet covers not returning flush

Nothing in the owners manual so thought I would ask on here.
My Signum has AFL with xenon headlights and so has headlight washers, after washing the jet covers sit proud of the bumper and don't return flush unless I push them down. Do they have a time delay or is there something wrong with the return mechanism?

    Thanks in advance

Spring inside the mechanism which is pushed against by the water pressure from the pump to cause them to open. Always did it when I had the car mate, never got round to looking into it that deep if I'm honest...

One option is to remove the bumper partially, and tip it forward so you can prize off the washers and see if the work properly when not attached to the bumper itself..

Cheers Martin, Have squirted some WD40 down the washer stems and worked them in and out by hand, go back easy enough by hand, but would like them to do it by them selves, cheers
