    Default Q about lowering springs

    hi all
please let me know what you think
i went to my local parts shop and they gave me 2 options on the same springs 1: is weight up to 1000kg
or 2: is weight over 1000kg
    so...
i am thinking if i go for OVER 1000kg it should be a bit harder and stronger , Am I Right ?

Being an oilburner you will need over 1000kg... you can see the weight loadings by opening the drivers door & look on the plate which is located on the pillar.

Quite a lot of people on here who bought Eibach lowering springs choose the under 1060kg springs.
purely that if you bought the next size up over 1060kg the car wont sit as low as if you buy the under 1060kg ones.

Assuming the springs are all the same length, then they should drop the car the required amount. Otherwise you will be buying springs that are too hard or soft for your particular car.

avoid the local prts shop it the springs are not listed as being for your vehicle. over 1000kg is not really accurate enough IMHO.
the apex or similar will be made to suit your cars weight which I'm guessing is 1060/1065kg on the front and 980kg on the rear like all the vecs (vxr 985kg)

pics when its done please ;-)
