    Default eBay rant

God knows what they're on at ebay but their rules are just crazy.

To cut a long storey short, I sold a car on the 15th to a chap from Birmingham. On the 19th after numerous previous agreements decides to come to "look" at the car. I have highlighted look as that is what he kept saying, he always had the impression to come and view rather than collect even though he won the auction.

Anyway, he arrives lunch time with 2 of his pals. Had a gown and a turban on. Came over to the car, had a look round and said I'll give you £2k...... He won it at £2275 which was cheap for what it was anyway.

He wanted the money off for travelling expenses. We said, sorry but you pay what you bid for the car. Had a heated few words with me then got in his car and left with his pals.

Started to get nasty emails after opening a case which I closed today so I could get my fee's back. He has now left me negative feedback and ebay have said there's nothing they can do........

What is going on, I have had numerous abusive and threatening emails, have been credited for my fee's but the guy can still leave neg feedback

Ebay account will be closed asap as it just stinks, sellers can only leave positive too and I think that's half the problem.

you can appeal the feedback and it does get removed after a while.
I sold some paintballs and the woman said they all arrived broken. asked for a picture or return to prove. anyway, she left bad feed back and it took 3 months to get it off.

I had a similar issue but after the case was closed the bad feedback disappeared, so worth an email to fleebay asking them to remove the feedback because once a case is filled and closed all feedback will and should vanish.

    Warm Regards,

sold summit on fleabay..posted it..got proof of posting..buyer waits 2 weeks then said no item arrived...buyer was acting like it was my fault..told ebay of the situation..that i had filled in relevant forms and sent it off with the proof of posting..i asked them where i stood..they said that as i was waiting on royal mail getting back to me that i did`nt need to refund buyer..now buyer has opened a case and i got 10 days 2 fix it..price of item was only £9..with free posting that cost £5 lol

i aint refunding the £9..principle that counts here..buyer can whistle as they have a real attitude problem..whats chances of royal mail fixing this in 10 days ? lol

ebay seems to be turning into a bit of a dead loss these days, it's not just me by the sounds of it either! lol

think I might start up a new site which is fair! if only

I'm just going to close the account and live without ebay and its problems. There's plenty of good deals out there without ebay, may have to pay a few extra quid but so be it

I'm with Lofty, as long as they get their cut through fees and paypal (which they also own) they don't care.
With this, you should be able to block the emails, or even report them to police if they're abusive, and you can appeal bad feedback and get it removed.
