Failed MOT

My car has just failed its MOT for having HID`s, has anyone else had this problem?

no mine went through in march with 50 watt 6k's in with no problem. where did you take yours ?

Mine passed two weeks ago with HIDs, I checked with the garage owner beforehand if there'd been any changes to the rules, he said no.

mine passed with them mid May - although the MOT Inspector did actually fit them for me!! he he!!

Mine passed 2 days ago at a Vauxhall main dealer, just like it did last year as well.

what exactly did it fail on, the HIDs itself, or an allignment or colour problem?

Mine has passed for the last 3 years, twice through VX and once through Halfords/Nationwide autocentre

Do they strobe when turned on or off?

There are changes taking place for MOT in Jan 2012 for HID's they have to be able to align etc. Not illegal at the moment unless they are not aligned right etc

So we keep hearing, but has anybody posted an official link yet to verify this, or is it still hearsay?
