    Default ABS fault...

My ABS keeps kicking in for no apparent reason.

Ran a diagnostic and got the log file, but I can't work out where the problem is being caused. Pretty sure there's something up with a speed sensor, but can't tell which one.

Anyone good with op-com? Could someone take a look at the log for me?

    Fitted any tyres recently?
Had any work done on the wheels or suspension?
Does it only come on when raining / roads wet?

Had the front calipers off recently, stripped down and completely cleaned following an MOT advisory about a front brake imbalance.

The strange thing is that the ABS activates in dry conditions, after braking from high speed and only once the pedal is released and reapplied.

The diagnostic software is saying that both the rear isolation valves in the ABS pump are activating, although the speed readouts from the individual wheels are all the same (+ or - 1kph).

The other strange thing is that the pedal often stiffens after this has happened and doesn't soften again until the ABS activates again.

Sounds like you disturbed some crap in the abs modulator.

Try bleeding some fresh fluid through the system.

good idea, I'll get some new stuff and do it at the weekend.

Just need to work out how to open the ABS valves... I know we're not supposed to give advice on op-com on the forum, but if anyone could PM me and let me know how to do this, I'd really appreciate it.

Oh dear, someone has moved this to the suspension, wheels and brakes section, so it's unlikely anyone will see it

    in other words... BUMP!
