Default Aux Belt Tensioner and guide/pully

    Hi All
    I need a new belt tensioner and a pully/guide for my 1.9 cdti 120.
Anyone any idea how much roughly a local garage should be charging for this?
Or is it an easy job myself? Think i can release the belt ok,but is the small guide pully and the tensioner itself easy to come off?

Also I had a new timing belt on 70k and am coming to 140k now,is it advisable to replace the water pump too this time.
    Cheers
    Mike

    Default

i did the aux belt and tensioner on my v6 cdti on monday

took about 25 mins all in

tensioner is only held on with 2 6mm allen key bolts

hardest part was getting the belt fed properly and located

and yes if changing timing belt on the 1.9 do the water pump as well
