    Default Estate 1.9 150 Mpg??

Had my estate for a couple of months now and the first tank full of diesel got me just over 400 miles, this last one seems to be going to get 450.

My hatch used to get around 500 around town and a couple of motorway journeys (on average), so this new car seems a lot worse.

I've noticed that the needle seems to go down quite quickly for the first half of the tank and I've only done 100 miles before it gets to the first mark (an eighth?).

What's everyone else getting out of theirs?

Hoping you all get a lot more and I just need to replace an injector or something.

I read that to start with and, Estate 1.9, doing 150mpg !!

Pretty sure they have a DFP, the Zafira when I had it had one and it was blocked, did really bad MPG until I had a few manual regens,

If you know anyone with Tech2 or Op-com you can check the saturation levels to be sure,

checked it the other day was around 40% will check it again and do a manual regen see how it goes. Thinking about removing the thing anyway at some point.

My two manual hatchbacks I've owned both got up to 700 miles to a tank mate. Unless you're driving it like you stole it or only doing short journeys I'd say there's something wrong there.

Could've got the 3.0 for that economy............

it's mostly short journeys Martin, my hatch was the same when doing the bigger runs, but it was a lot better on the short ones then this estate seems to be.

DPF and the extra weight not helping I'd imagine mate. Possibly needs a service, italian tuneup, a gallon of redex, new manifold etc etc...

    lol, steady on...

Serviced in feb (but that was a dealer service), put in some wynns today and it has a new manifold already. Put the fiat gasket on the egr and done the 3rd injector wiring. But yeah, that DPF!! I think it needs to go at some point, and I'm not sure if I could do with changing one of the injectors (will be keeping an eye on the deviation).

I'm running up a list of things to do on mine when I'm next home. I've going to rent out a bay with a lift at a garage called Autopia in Darwen for a day, and get my EGR mapped out before that.

Then, it's a case of blanking the egr and possibly removing the cooling pipe completely, changing the manifold and the cambelt at the same time along with the water pump an auxiliary belt, and hopefully that should keep it nice a squeeky clean forever...
