    Default what IS this rattle?

got a loud metal on metal sound when i go over a bump
defo not the new suspension, not my exhaust, but its a very light metal sound like ally on tin. now through doing diferent things with it i have discovered that if you pull the handbrake on slightly as you go over a bump there is no clunk! am i right in thinking the handbrake cable runs over the heatshield? is there any way the cable could be drooping and is sitting on the heatshield while driving and banging up an down when i hit a bump? this would then explain why it doesn,t do it when you pull the hanbrake on a bit and go over a bump.
its in the dealers at the mo and i know in the morning they are just going to try and blame the non vx suspension and zorst for the rattle, but i have had these 2 items checked for play and know it defo isnt coming from these mods any ideas anyone? its only 8 months old so shouldn,t be dropping to bits yet .
forget to say new discs and pads all round as well

Might be worth checking the nuts and washers that hold the heatshield in place.
I had a big rattle, the tin shield had worn around the nuts, had to fit bigger diameter washers.
