Cd70 please help!!! :)

I recently fitted a cd70 and was having trouble reading the nav disc. The drive has now completely stopped working, will not spin, eject or respond at all.

I think the best thing to do is replace the drive completely. It's a siemens unit, so I was wondering is there anywhere I could get the drive, or are they in any other stereos that use the same drive I could pop open to get a replacement?

Or mega longshor time if anyone has a spare on lying around?

The DVD unit connects to the main board via a ribbon cable & plug... the CD70 is very easy to pull apart so it might be worth checking everything is secure before sourcing replacement bits.

Thanks for the reply! I pulled it apart and everything was in securely as far as I can see. Are the drives prone to failure or us it more likely something on the board?
