    Default Rain Sensor

    mine wont work, dont know if busted as didnt work when i got the car, however is there any place i should look before condeming it?, ie fuse,or something else,maybe a fix?

    Check the connections on the back of the sensor, you can unclip the 2 sections of trim above the interior mirror. It's also possible that the sensor has come lose from it's fitting so check it's securely against the screen too.

    Take cover off then push the sensor against the windscreen while someone uses a watering can on it. Chances are it will work and therefore means the bracket is coming away from the screen. This is usually caused by replacement windscreens which do not have the same fixing quality for the bracket as genuine screens do and eventually give up the ghost.

    cheers for that, windscreen is origanal & checked conections all seems ok ,checked 5amp fuse in boot not blown ,so any other sugestions as to where to look or check/

    Finaly fixed it ,broken ribon cable so little solder and working fin now thanks to all who answerd
    steve
