    Default HID fog lights

Ive recently upgraded to HID mains, now im looking into upgrading my fog lights. Has anyone got any advice on how to change them and what bulb number do they take? (pics would be great if possible)

Also what products/ prices people have found good? im looking to upgrade to 6k same as my main lights.

    I got a Vectra Sri 57 plate.

    Thanks for any help/ information

    hi
i have a 05 pre facelift . i changed the fogs to hid 50w 10000k the same as the headlights. i had a kit with the warning cancel plug in but they didnt work they were strobing all the time. i sent them back to hid direct and they sent me a pair of canbus pro ballasts that work fine. however i did have to reverse the polarity . instead of live to live and neg to neg i had to switch them to live to neg and neg to live a 10 second job the ballasts fit easily behind the bumper aswell happy days
hope this is of some help
    cheers mark

I have put HID's in my fogs as well from hidsdirect (50W 6000k to match headlights) but bought the non canbus friendly ones (blonde moment) and they flicker quite a lot so I am due to get some canbus friendly balasts soon and swap them over

Here are a couple of photos to show what I did

    Remove Bumper

    Attachment 43742

Used "No more Nails" double sided tape and pilot drilled 2 holes to screw the ballast to the fog light housing

    Attachment 43743

This is how it looked with the ballasts attached and warning cancellors (little black box on the right of ballast with red and black wires)

    Attachment 43744

Bulb in place and wired in

    Attachment 43745

    And final outcome

    Attachment 43746

    Chuffed to bits with them

    Hope it helps Phil

Seems a lot of work for the piddling amount of fog we get in the UK.

Unless of course you drive round with them on when it's not actually foggy?
