    Default towbar

    hi all can anyone recommend a detachable towbar for the signum need one soon and I prefer the detachables seen a few different style/fittings and just looking for some guidance cheers

    I had a Westfalia swan neck on my Signum. If you tow a caravan & use a "leaf spring" type stabiliser, you can bolt the fixing bracket to it.

    cheers mate westfilia is what I was looking at along with wittier thanks for the added info on the stabiliser as I have access to two caravans one with Aklo and a older hitch which needs the stabiliser 

    if you dont already know

    you will need an alko ball for the car they look like a mushroom as the pads grip under the rim a standard ball will smash the side off the alko

    i know this as the father inlaw towed his caravan on a standard ball and it jammed and the pressure smashed the side plate off

    I have a detachable Witter Quantum on mine. Can't fault it.
