Rad Tax Bands?...

Ive just been looking at the government road tax banding and I'm a bit confused.

There's an asterisk next to band K that says

* Band K includes cars that have a CO2 figure over 225g/km but were registered before 23 March 2006

Does this mean that everything before March 2006 producing over that level will be in band K including the GSi or is it only selected vehicles?

I think it applies to all cars between 226 and 255 registered before 23/3/06, including the GSI and other 3.2V6's at 235(manual) and 250(autos). As for same-engined Signums they are a few CO2's more and still qualify.

Or to put it another way, the old banding of 226-255 is retained for such vehicles.
