Default Seemed like a good idea....

Went to do my oil change last night once my relatives had left and realised i didnt have a big enough spanner to get the filter off so popped into factors beside work today and bought a 32mm. Unfortunatly it was too long so my mate had the idea of nipping into work and getting the angle grinder out.

A good plan and i now have 2 perfectly sized spanners however my good buddy managed to slightly set fire to his trousers with the sparks and get a nice wee burn on his leg in the process .

Best laid plans and all that

Can only hope the fire was lower down his trousers rather than high up.......

would like to see you put a screwdriver through a vectra filter housing!!!!
you obviously havent done an oil change on one or you would know that they dont use the old type metal ones anymore , they now use paper cartridges that go inside a housing

1.8's still uses the screw on metal type, although I believe its a case of some do and some have the paper insert.
