    Default boost gauge.......

green growler..... i'm a bit of a novice when it comes to the actual mechanics of an engie but i could certainly deal with the interior parts of this mod. Could you do me a quick, basic how to on this mod, i.e where to connect it to in the engie bay etc........

    Would really appreciate it mate.

Hi m8, welcome to the site.
These pic's give you the best idea of how I done mine.
You need to tap into a hose that is under boost pressure, the top one to the right of the engine is probably the best place.

I done mine underneath so it is less obvious.
You should get a connector in the kit, if not, the supplier of the gauge should be able to supply one as well.
You just drill/cut a hole in the hose and put the connector in, then run your tapped hose of it.

Most boost gauges have the boost sensor built into them, so the tube you tapped off needs to run to the back of the gauge.
But mine has a remote sensor so my tube only runs to this, and then a wire runs to the back of the gauge, I have mounted my sensor on the side of the battery box, as you can see here.

    Hope this helps.

i dunno......don't you remember at Track 'n' Road they couldn't tap into the the v6 diesels or Deans.

    although Nutron has done it.

Oh right, see what you mean, they had the same problem on mine, which is why I could just use the T-piece that came in the kit, tis why I have tapped directly into a boost hose, cant see any reason why that would work on ANY turbo motor.

Nope, they got a reading off the petrol (D's) but I don't think they could get a boost reading off any of the diesels.
