Default Air con re-gassed but not as cold

Had a hissing sound when i turned the air con on and it wasnt cold. Turned out the gas had run out, got it regassed and it was fine...until the other night. The hiss has come back when i turn it on, and it doesnt feel as cold now as it was just after the re-gas. Any body had a similar problem?.

Sounds like you got a leak (no pun intended). Did you have u/v dye added so you can see if it's leaking or not ?

I fitted new condensor myself (about £105 from these)

http://www.autoairconparts.co.uk/ (it was a valeo one ) 2 small washers cost about £30 from dealer.

There are good instructions on here somewhere on how to remove the front bumper.

Condensor is easy to change, just a couple of 13mm nuts I seem to recall ( maybe a 10 or 11mm as well ).

an arm and a leg bud, dealers charge well over a couple of hundred quid just for the condensor!! and thats without fitting it and regassing it!!!
