Normally £150 new
Thanks, im guessing there is no difference between the 150 and 120 model when it comes to this part ?
Im a little confused, its been said a pre cat is in fact the cat ? but after doing some research i found the cat is actually in the middle of the exhaust ?
So surely removing the precat simply increases air flow and reduces back pressure which all in all is better for the turbo ?
Generally yes, one of the most common upgrades on a lot of vauxhalls seems to be to remove this pre-cat.
Obviously though with 2 cat sections, more crap get's caught, some will always get through, but I would just change the precat for an uprated pipe and keep the main cat personally. I wouldn't even try knocking the internal bit of the cat out, Tried it once with an old cat pipe for an Astra and it was a hell of a job! Better off buying the scorpion and be done with it IMO.
Don't spose you know if the scorpion pipe for a 150 is tha same as a 120 ?
I would guess yes, but not 100% I would wait for someone who defo knows before buying it as I don't want to be the cause of you wasting £90. lol.
I think the exhausts are probably both identical though, at a guess. Another thing Vaux like to do seemingly, re-using floorpans and exhaust set-ups! lol
Oh ok great thanks, anyone who knows for sure please let me know asap as i want to but the item begore someone else snaps it up.
Any ideas also where i can get a straight through pipe from ?
Thanks Again
* Bump *
Well it fits the 150 no problem.
You could call these guys as they supplied mine and they also have a fitting service and could make your pipe to replace the main CAT:
