Default Cost of a new key 1.8Ls?

I have been quoted from Vauxhall £105.00 for a new key this also includes programing it.
Is this what i should expect to pay?
I seen an earlier thread and the guy paid £60.00
HE also told me that i should start with a new key to fix my immboilser problem but it could be something else, like a new computer and could cost anything upto £500.00
Thing is i dont want to spend £105.00 on a new key if itys something else that is causing my headaches

    Vehicle : Vauxhall Astra-J

    Trim : Elite

    Engine : 2.0 CDTi

    Year : 2013

Prices seem to vary from dealer to dealer.

£40 upwards seems to be the going rate just to program it to the car (tech2 or otherwise) Did the guy in the other thread you're referring to pay £60 just for the key, or did that include programming too?

I think it was maybe just 60 quid for the new key.
BUt if you get a new key do you not have to have it programed to the computer

Yes. You need the car pass to access the imobiliser part of the ECU. If you have op-com you can code it yourself. if you are lucky you can get a new blank key on eBay. Then get the blade cut.

    Default update

Had to get towed last night car wouldnt start messed about with the key and rremoved the battery, also removed the battery from the key and now the fob wont lock unlock the doors.
The alarm kept going of untill i locked the car with the key, looks like i will have to leave in at an auto spark on monday.
Anyone know any good auto sparks in the belfast area?
I want to try this option first as going to vauxhall will be too expensive.
I have all the security codes

After removing the battery in the fob you need to re-sync the key by locking/unlocking the drivers door then turning the ignition on (and possibly starting).

If he was alive im sure jeremy beadle would pop out from somewhere and tell me that i have just been framed.
Took battery from key just now locked and reopened the door, put the key in ignition and the car started.
The immboliser light has yet to come on and the car is running but for how long i wonder
