has the oil return pipe been bent / crimped over when the head was removed very common fault now there getting older and the heads have been off ......also have you replaced the oil feed banjo bolt every time the turbo has been replaced ....have you been useing new units or recon ? .... what other damage was done when the cambelt went .? ...they normally damage the cam / brake vac pump ......

what I was told is the cam belt snapped, bent seven of the eight valves, head was skimmed and seven valves replaced, after that it blew original turbo. Had two recon turbo's, they lasted a day. Since then car was parked up...garage don't appear to have a clue! I noticed the temperature guage was reading half way, and then no reading , but heating appeared to be working okay. Was told that turbo's had blown, due to no oil in bearings. Not sure whether banjo bolt replaced... I reckon cowboy garage, as they do not appear to know much about turbo diesels! P.S just before the turbo lost power, I heard hissing noise from the head area of the engine, like a dump valve hiss then it lost power. So at this moment I am on the look out for an engine.
