It sounds like a faulty thermostat. maybe have a look at it to see if there is anything visable

just sat in the car after using it 30mins before done afew slow revs turned heater off on ect and my temp has rised to 90 so the thermometer must of been sticking do they stick often? or do you think its fixed

mine takes about 5-10 mile to warm up and sits around 85-90... though when its winter sometimes it doesn't move(yes it's prob knackered)

yeah im pretty sure it is i thought it was fixed so i took it out... drove around a corner and it droped grr

had a new thermostat on my cdti only £60 fitted and yes it takes a few miles for the needle to move

the old one would get up to temp then the needle drop back to zero and then a few miles later go up and then back down
