    Default cigerette lighter

    hi guys heading off to scotland for a few days next week but neither of the two cigerette lighters in the car work its a 07 sri cdti estate the one in the boot works ok iv,e looked at the fuses in the boot and they are ok. are there fuses under the bonnet besides the battery that i need to look for and if so where are they located? many thanks

    They are not cigarette lighters, they are electrical accessory oulet.

    Thought I'd mention that incase you were try to use it as a cigarette lighter.

    Depends on the age of the car, my front one is a cigarette lighter. I changed out the top lighter part for the facelift "flap" cover.

    In an 07 I think they would be Electrical Accessory.

    The fuse for that is in the fuse box on the passenger side on the end of the dashboard. You need to open the passenger door to see it. #22

    thanks guys i,ll take the car to the garage, no probs about it not being a cigerette lighter never smoked and don,t let anyone smoke in the car, just wanted to plug the sat nav in to keep it charged up, automatically thought lighter when i saw it, bit strange though both in the two in the cabin out but the one in the boot works ah well " cest le vie " as they say in co. antrim

    Not really because the front ones run off the dashboad fuse box and the one in the boot runs off the Fusebox(REC) in the boot

    again thanks dasarab with that input, knew i should have booked into edinburgh or surrounding area instead of glasgow you could have injected with some knowledge about veccies

    According to my manual, the cigarette lighter is fuse number 22 on the interior fuse box (the one behind the panel on the end of the dashboard passenger side).

    There are three fuse boxes in the Vec C, one under the bonnet, one at the end of the dashboard and one in the boot.
