    Default Siggy Exhaust

My exhaust backboxes are rusting away quite nicely, so I've been looking into replacing them.

None of the usual suspects do aftermarket exhausts for the Signum and my dealer wants £320 for a new one!

Most backboxes I've bought in the past have been around the £50 mark, okay there's two of them, but that's still only £100!

Anyone know where I can get one a bit cheaper?

A local custom exhaust centre like Powerflow would probably be your best bet. I doubt you'll be seeing many sub £100 items other than at a scrappy though mate.

Ordinarily, I wouldn't have recommended Powerflow as they are a franchise and the quality of their franchisees varies quite a lot. They seem to have cleaned their act up though and you can now get T-304 grade, non-magnetic stainless steel systems from them. This is top quality and will never rust.

You can see all of their tailpipe designs here: http://www.powerflowexhausts.net/products.cfm

If you have a problem with a Powerflow franchised dealer speak to Ron on 01392 203050
He is in charge of the franchises and does sort out any problems and they can have the franchise removed!

There ya go Keith. No worries with the Powerflow then. If you go for a half system from the cat back it should give you a couple of extra bhp too

Definitely go for the T-304 stainless steel though, you'll never have to replace it.

I've been to the Powerflow agent today and they reckoned it would be around £350.

The bad news is that they're biggest silencers are around half the size of the standard ones, so they reckon it would be noisy and my boy racer days are behind me.

Nope they are telling you porkies m8. I had mine done, cat back, centre box rermoved and 2 rear boxes with 5"x3" oval tailpipes. Makes a nice deep throaty rumble but not noisy or obtrusive at all. If it was noisy my wife would not have been happy

£350 is about the going rate.
