    Default Laptop/iTunes trouble?

    Hello all,

    I was listening to my music on iTunes and closed the program last night (with a song still playing), yet the music continued to play (). So, thought nothing much of it and closed the laptop. The problem I have now is that iTunes won't open.
    Things I have tried;
    1. Double clicking icon on desktop
    2. Clicking on iTunes through Program List
    3. Opened task manager to open iTunes

    What else is there that I can do? I have had loads of trouble with this laptop (including a new hard drive) and especially don't want to lose all my music.

    Thanks

    George

    Open task manager and kill any iTunes processes or just reboot

    Might be an idea to back up your iTunes library folder

    Just restarted the laptop and iTunes is now working properly - thanks Big Knox

    Another issue I have is when closing Internet Explorer 8 - it always comes up with IE8 has stopped working (little box, working on solution) and then another little box saying IE8 is restarting. Does anyone have any idea as to why it does it all the time?

    Get firefox.... Seriously. IE has inherent security issues. I really hope you dont do internet banking :S

    Anyway the reason this happens is simply because Windows is closing IE before IE has released its "workers". IE throws an exception and windows alerts you. 9/10 times this is because of bad 3rd party addons. Do you have toolbars like yahoo installed? Try and remove any extra features you've installed into IE like toolbars and see if it continues. If all else fails and you wanna stick with IE then IE needs to be upgraded or reinstalled to a fresh copy

    Your biggest problem was having itunes installed on the machine in the first place, horrible horrible piece of software

    IE works fine. Don't let the usual scaremonger MS-bashing crowd put you off it. I use it for my banking and have never had an issue. You can't beat sensible browsing habits.

    I live my life - 'if its not broken, why fix it?' Obviously this applies to everything but the car!
