There is another guy here that fitted 235/45's on his Vectra C. They will fit and will maintain the gearing ration far better than a 225/45. However they are meant to be fitted to a 7.5J or wider rim as on a 7 x 17 they do pinch enough to give no more rubber on the road than a 225/45
