    Default Santapod RWYB

    Hi guys.

Im planning on going to Santapod RWYB on 21st August and just wondered if any of you guys planning on being there? Be interesting to see how my auto GSi compares to other vectras on here! Especially manual GSi's and remapped 2.0t's

Any tips on launching an auto for best results? and what the best tyre pressures are etc? My mate is meant to be going in his ST220 and i really want to bring a victory back for the Vectra! lol

Also do they check your engine bay? as i have an old oil leak that has dried on side of my engine (doesnt drip on the floor atall, never has in over a year) and obviously dont want to be not allowed track time due to that.

Been told to just turn up on day, but early, is this true?

Hope to see some of you guys there! Weather permitting

And parcel shelf lol. Not so sure if im taking rear seats out yet though as my fiancee will be coming to watch and think my lil bro wants to tag along. But i'll be going commando that day to save the extra weight lol.

Seems alot of my mates are dropping out for one reason or another but think there should still be a few of us there.

And cheers bangty. I've tried that before but dont like doing it too much as it wont be too good on the box as you said, although i guess it'll be trail and error on the day! As i've never done the 1/4 mile

Get used to 2 foot driving! you can get a good launch on the auto, you only need apply the preload for a few seconds, [no worse than a steep hill start!] i am not sure how the vectra auto's work? my old cav with the traditional auto meant 'sport on' 'D3 lock' hold on left foot............. always worked well on the road.

My auto just has D mode, winter driving and semi auto (reverse, N and P too ofcoarse lol)

It shifts dependant on foot position so obviously not much skill once i've done the launch lol, just need to remember to push that bit furthur than full throttle to red line :P

Just heard things about tyres pressures and such and wondered if they'd actually make a diff etc.

I always run on 99ron fuel also, so that wont be a problem Just gotta make sure i aint too full but still got enough to get to the petrol station after it is all done :P
