    Default Chemical Guys products

I have been expanding my collection of kit at quite a quick rate and have recently started moving into the CG range which I think is very good (With exception of that horrid air freshner)

Does anyone else use anything from them and if so what is it and how does it perform?

Using Black Light, V7 and Maxi Suds II at the moment. Black light no better than SRP IMO, Can see why people like V7, easy to use, quick to use, impressed with the results(well its over HD wax so that may help too) shames its pretty expensive for what is basically a QD. Maxi Suds II, liking this a lot, lots of suds, slickness and a great smell for not a lot product, may just have to try more of their car wax products.
Its a shame my experience with CG was tainted by their slow delivery. Ordered twice now from AP Motor Store on Amazon and had both items, over 1kg, delivered within 24 hours for the princely sum of £1.20. Monza were the same, great delivery.

I use blacklight on top of SRP. But I had the same problem when everyone was raving about PBBH, I used that on top of SRP and thought it was turbo rubbish.

I think V7 is an ok price for what it is, especially when you look at Zaino Z8 for £20 for a smaller bottle.

I have just ordered the maxi suds. Hoping its good. Also looking into there compounds but trying to work out which is the best. By the looks of things I may have to buy 2 different products.

I have some black light and Petes #53 wax. The wax is good but doesn't last long but i have just tried the black light after machining some scratches out. Put it over a coat of fk1000p but it looks great so i have to disagree with Dasarab with it being no better than srp. It does need to be left to cure for a while before buffing off though.

You can see the reflection of the light thats reflecting off the bumper in the corners of the boot lid.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Which I why I have bought Meguiars #82 and #83 as the cut of each polish is marked on the side and simple to understand and pretty good value for money bottle size wise. The Merenza ones are nuts to figure out. Poorboys have an easy to read system too. Never looked at the CG range of compounds, most on DW appear to be using Megs, 3M or Merenza.

I use glossworkz shampoo, was recomended this over the maxi suds as thats all maxi suds does is creates lots of soapy bubbles. The glossworkz shampoo is great me and 3 mates got it along with various other bits and bob and we will all be buying again, 2 cap fulls fill up a huge bucket.

When i got my car detailed the detailer used i think its e-zyme wax to finish it off and its delightful but very expensive.

The CG products tell you on the web how much cut they have but it is shown in the grit paper marks it can remove.

Ah I see, I assumed you still used an LSP over the top of it hence the V7 and I wasnt impressed beading without the V7 or Wax.
