    Default Clean boost sensor?

    Hi Guys
My car has been cured from the dreaded "misfire" / "flat spot"
Garage replaced EGR and it still misfired, but I cleaned the Boost Sensor, which was absolutley caked solid in hard soot like deposits, and seen a massive improvement.
My question is.... the part of the engine I removed the Boost Sensor from, what is it called? And if the boost sensor was solid with crap then is it possible this "part" where the boost valve is in, is also full of crap?
If so would it be worth cleaning this out,and is it a do at home job?
    Cheers

You talking about a DTI engine? I call that the throttle body (might be wrong but sure it's that lol), on my DTI I took it off and scrapped /cleaned it out as it was gunked up really badly. Only had the EML a few times before but never had it since and that's nearly a year ago (reminds me I better go over it all again!).
