Default Just ordered my Winter Tyres

Just ordered my Winter tyres from Germany via (www.tyretraders.com).

As I had so much trouble last year trying to get hold of any decent brand makes.

I went for GoodYear UltraGrip 7+

These are for the Fiat 500 (not the VXR, no way is that thing coming out in the snow!!!).

I also bought some brand new 14" Steel Rims for fitment at £15 each off ebay, which I thought was a bargain...

So bring it on Winter months, I'm ready... 'ish

Oh, and I did consider other brands like:-

    - Michelin Alpin A4
    - Continental TS830
    - Dunlop Winter Sport 4D
    - Vredesteins Wintrac Xtreme

But nobody has them in stock !! .... and they were typically way more expensive as well.

I got the GoodYear UltraGrip 7+ for £60 each including VAT & Fitting plus £15 for a brand new steel wheel = £ 75 per corner

    £300 all in, happy days

Well I did say last year that I would be buying them in summer to save money (avoiding the winter price hike)

I like it when a plan comes together

i'd wager that the tyre companys will all be hoping for a rough winter this year again , plenty of folks will swap for more appropriate rubber this time round

UK prices doubled in the few months before xmas and they still haven't fallen back to what they were.

As I recall it was £78 for a winter tyre, this went up to £135 (same tyre) when the snow started to fall.
