reverse sensor park pilot
I fitted one about 5 years ago. No problems with it at all. The sensors are wide angle and pick up objects right out on the rear corners of the car and it fits neatly into the numberplate recess of the Vectra.
Wiring is easy as it goes straight through the bumper into the rear of the boot and connects to the reversing light wire and earth. I fitted mine up-side down with the wider strip at the top as it looks neater and makes running the wiring through the bumper easier. You just have to be careful not to fit it too high up or it could obscure too much light from the numberplate lights.
Thanks for that info.. Just bought them from ebay £35 delivered.
Did you have to remove the trim at the rear of the boot to get the wiring into the light cluster?
I removed the plastic trim at the bottom of the boot opening to gain access to feed the cables through the numberplate light wiring grommet which is behind this panel.
I also removed the left-hand boot side panel for better access to Scotchlock the reversing sensor wiring into the reversing light wiring and to fit the control box and the beeper, but it may be possible to do the job through the door for the storage compartment.
Thanks for the help guys.
All done now..Done as you said, followed the number plate wires through into the boot, then just connected it all up in the cupboard space in the boot... Seems fine upto now.![]()
