Vectra not starting

Hi just got back from work and went back out to pick son up .
Started the car and realized it was in gear so car moved back a bit so stoped taken out of gear and tried to start and nothing att all .
All dash lights /warning lights ok and checked all fuses and all ok .
The only noise is a faint hummimg from the solenid in the front fuse box
Any ideas welcome

Starter motor jamed ?

try pushing the car forward and see if it will start ?

otherwise get the multimeter out and check battery voltage.

hit the starter motor with a hammer then try to restart it should work then.
