    Default Z32 oil pumps

Hi all. Its been ages since I was last on here but I need your wealth of knowledge again. I know the oil pumps are made of chocolate on some of the early engines (mine failed big style) Does anyone know if there is a better pump or have they been updated etc?

    Cheers Keith

Nope still don't remember one failing, but as jezzy days the oil cooler has been known to fail.

Not saying they aren't made of chocolate though

I've had the 3.0 V6 in my Omega and the 3.2 V6 in my Vectra. I can only agree with what's been said so far - the oil coolers in the 3.0 were a known weak point up until the newer builds using a stainless one. I can't recall anyone with either a 3.0 or 3.2 reporting oil pump failure, let alone it being a known weak point.
